Heart & Hands strives to create a safe and trusted pediatric school-based clinic. We build an ecosystem within a community, by collaborating with health and educational professionals, to ensure our children are receiving the customized care and attention they deserve.

The Verdun community is home to over 65,000 residents. Resilient, diverse, and active are some of the words used to describe this vibrant community. However, each community faces its own challenges and Verdun has been identified at a city, provincial, and federal level as being underserved in regards to its access to healthcare services .

The pediatric population in Verdun has unique medical needs, with nearly double the rates of learning disabilities compared to the rest of Montreal, and nearly 50% higher rates of ADHD. Heart & Hands looks to curtail this by providing a new school-based health care access point and integrating it’s services by collaborating with multiple community stakeholders to help provide holistic care, so that the children and families may live fulfilling and confident lives.
